Prof. Youfu Li City University of Hong Kong, China Prof. Li (IEEE Senior Member) obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China. He obtained his PhD degree in robotics from the Department of Engineering Science, Oxford University, UK, in 1993. From 1993 to 1995, he worked as a research staff in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK. He joined the City University of Hong Kong in 1995. Prof. Li's research interests include robot vision, visual tracking, robot sensing and sensor based control, mechatronics and automation. In these areas, he has published over a hundred papers in refereed international journals. He is an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering (T-ASE). | |
Prof. Dimitrios Georgakopoulos Swinburne University of Technology, Australia Prof.Dimitrios Georgakopoulos (Member, IEEE) received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Houston, Houston, TX, USA.,He is a Full Professor of Computer Science with the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, Swinburne University of Technology, Hawthorn, VIC, Australia, and the Inaugural Director of the IoT Lab in the university’s Digital Innovation Capability Platform. He also leads the Industry 4.0 Program at Swinburne’s Manufacturing Futures Research Institute. Before that, he served as a Research Director from 2008 to 2014 of CSIRO’s ICT Centre, Canberra, ACT, Australia, and a Professor with RMIT University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, from 2014 to 2016. Prior to joining CSIRO, he held research and management positions in several industrial laboratories in the USA, including Telcordia Technologies, Red Bank, NJ, USA; Microelectronics and Computer Corporation, Austin, TX, USA; GTE Laboratories, Boston, Boston, MA, USA; and Bell Communications Research (Bellcore), Piscataway, NJ, USA.,Prof. Georgakopoulos authored/coauthored 190+ journal and conference publications in computer science, which include three seminal papers in the areas of Service Computing, Workflow Management, and Context Management in the Internet of Things (IoT). | |
Professor Wei Xiang La Trobe University, Australia Professor Wei Xiang (IEEE Senior Member ) is currently Cisco Chair of AI and Internet of Things and Founding Director of Cisco-La Trobe Centre for AI and Internet of Things (https://www.latrobe.edu.au/aiot). He is also Director of Higher Degree Research Program at SmartSat CRC (https://smartsatcrc.com/team-members/professor-wei-xiang/). Prior to joining in La Trobe, he was Foundation Chair and Head of Discipline of Internet of Things Engineering at James Cook University, Cairns, Australia. Due to his instrumental leadership in establishing Australia’s first accredited Internet of Things Engineering degree program, he was selected into Pearcy Foundation’s Hall of Fame in October 2018. He is an elected Fellow of the IET in UK and Engineers Australia. He received the TNQ Innovation Award in 2016, and Pearcey Entrepreneurship Award in 2017, and Engineers Australia Cairns Engineer of the Year in 2017. He has been awarded several prestigious fellowship titles, including a Queensland International Fellowship, an Endeavour Research Fellowship, a Smart Futures Fellow, and a JSPS Invitational Fellow.
